Case Study - Laki K
Laki's key disease markers have seen a 60-80% reduction through Terry's treatment methods
Laki K is a 58 year old male who was diagnosed with smoldering myeloma in 2009 at the age of 47. He entered our curcumin study in 2010. When Laki first entered the study, his paraprotein level was 28.5 grams per litre and his free light chain ratio was 26.8. These are two of the key disease markers for patients with smoldering myeloma.
Treatement & Results
Since 2010 Laki has been taking curcumin daily and some of his disease markers have shown remarkable improvement over the years. His paraprotein level as of July 2019 was 11 grams per litre – a 61% reduction in paraprotein over a 10 year period. His free light chain ratio as of January 2019 was 5.6 - a 79% reduction over a 10 year period and closer to the normal range of 0.3-1.7.
What it Means for Laki
For patients like Laki (with SMM), there is a 50% chance that the disease may progress to Multiple Myeloma - a very aggressive type of cancer - within 5 years. However, with curcumin intervention not only has Laki not progressed after 10 years, but his disease markers have actually improved.
Below is a chart of Laki's paraprotein level over a 10 year period:
